File boundary

Bring your own files

Six browser pages run only if you bring files you already own, or, in one case, if you choose the demo instead.

Skate 3

Skate 3 streams from a converted copy you already own. It is a fan game, and the first load is the slow one because that stream is heavy. Later visits are the lighter ones. The converted copy stays on your machine.

Archive plate for Halo CE

Halo CE

Halo CE does not include campaign data. You choose an XISO made from an Xbox copy you already own. Once that image is selected, WASD moves and the mouse aims.

Halo CE mobile

The Halo CE mobile welcome screen can continue in the browser. The game files are not included. You use a disc image you already own. It is a different host from the XISO chooser.

Archive plate for GTA Vice City

GTA Vice City

Vice City asks for a game.tar.gz you already own. You import it once, and the port stores it in the browser. The project is an unofficial reVC port, not a Rockstar release. A shorter address on the same site is a missing page.

Archive plate for WebXash

WebXash

WebXash reads a root folder you already have. The folder should contain valve, cstrike, or both, for Half-Life 1 or Counter-Strike 1.6. The read happens in the browser session and does not write back to the folder. There is no shareware path around the folder.

Diablo

Diablo is the exception. The shareware demo starts with no local MPQ. The full game can load your own DIABDAT.MPQ. Bring the file only if you want that full game. The demo does not need it.

What bring your own files means

Bring your own files means the browser tab is the player, and the game data stays yours. You already own a copy. You convert it, point at an image, import an archive, or select a folder, depending on the game. The remote port may keep that data in browser storage so the next visit is easier. Those bytes never come to this site.

These six games do not host the files, do not link ripped discs, and do not write steps for obtaining a copy you do not own. If you cannot point at a legal copy you already have, play something that needs no files: the zombies menu, Surfd, PES 6, the Quake deathmatch hosts, Wolfenstein, Urban Terror, or WASM Arcade.

A launcher, an emulator installer, or a desktop client is a different request. None of the six rows hides that request inside the file step. Open starts the browser page. The file step, when it exists, is a picker or an import on that page.

Required versus the demo exception

Five rows are required. Skate 3 has nothing to skate until the converted copy streams. Both Halo ports leave the game data out. Vice City waits for the game.tar.gz. WebXash waits for the folder. Opening those tabs without the file shows the boundary, not the full game.

Diablo is the exception because the shareware demo is a real start that needs no local MPQ. The full game is optional and uses your DIABDAT.MPQ. That is why the chip reads demo exception instead of files required. On the home shelf the same split is the optional mark.

Quake III, the Half-Life start page, and Hit and Run are absent from this checklist because they never settle a file rule. They stay on the main shelf with the unstated mark. An unknown rule is not a requirement you can guess.

How the six pickers differ

Skate 3 is a stream of a converted copy, and the wait is front-loaded. Halo CE is an XISO chooser with WASD and mouse once the image is selected. Halo CE mobile is a welcome screen plus a disc image, not the same chooser. Vice City is a one-time game.tar.gz import kept in the browser. WebXash is a folder selection aimed at valve and cstrike, read into the session and not written back. Diablo is a demo unless you add DIABDAT.MPQ.

Do not reuse one file across these pickers. An XISO is not a Skate conversion, a Vice City archive is not a valve folder, and a DIABDAT.MPQ is not a disc image. The diagrams exist so each boundary is visible before you click Open.

The picture under the checklist names the idea, not every filename. The rows above are the precise list. If a port changes its picker later, trust the live game before you hand over a file. Match the file to the row you just read.

What this note refuses

You will not find store capsules or retail key art on this note. You will not find a download count. You will not be told where to get a game you do not own. Numbered catalogs elsewhere on the web, including 66, 76, and 77, are not versions of these six games.

If you arrived looking for unblocked games and only wanted something that starts immediately, go back to the shelf and filter away the own-files mark. The zombies menu, the surf course surf_boreas, the football port, the Quake rooms with nothing to install, Urban Terror, Wolfenstein, and the free arcade archive of 1,109 games start without your files.

If you already own the copy and you want the browser port that can read it, stay on this checklist. Open the row, confirm the field list on the game page, then use the external button. That button opens the port. The field list is the same boundary in longer form, including the host you are about to trust with the file.
