WebXash
WebXash plays Half-Life 1 or Counter-Strike 1.6 when you select a root folder you already have. The folder should contain valve, cstrike, or both. The port reads that folder into the browser session and does not write it back.

The folder the page reads
WebXash does not bundle Half-Life or Counter-Strike. You select a root folder you already have. The directories that matter are valve, cstrike, or both. The port reads that folder into the browser session and does not write changes back to the folder. The files stay yours. Nothing here hosts the folder or explains how to obtain a game you do not own.
That is a different job from the Half-Life start page, where memory defaults to 150 and Start opens xash.html. Whether that start page needs your files is still unknown. If you do not have a folder, WebXash is the wrong port. If you do, this is the one that reads it.
There is still no launcher and no desktop client to install. The selection happens in the browser, against a directory on your machine that is already yours.
Own-files, with the other five
The own-files list places WebXash beside Skate 3, both Halo ports, Vice City, and Diablo. Diablo is the exception because its shareware demo needs no local data file. WebXash has no demo path. The folder is required before Half-Life 1 or Counter-Strike 1.6 can run.
Counter-Strike 1.6 here means the cstrike directory inside a copy you already own. It does not mean a separate store download, and it does not mean Surfd, which is a different game with no file import and a course named surf_boreas.
This is a fan port, not an official re-release. The title is simply WebXash, the same word on the card and in the tab, so a search for that word finds this folder picker.
