Quake III Arena is an unofficial browser game. Mobile and a gamepad work. Whether you need your own files is still unknown.

Why the file mark is unstated
Quake III Arena runs in the browser, unofficial and non-commercial, with mobile and gamepad support. The open screen does not ask you to import a file. Whether a later step wants one is still unknown. Unknown means the question is unsettled, not that you should hunt for a disc.
Quake and Quake II install nothing and cap the room at eight. WebXash tells you to select a folder you already have. Quake III does neither of those. You get mobile and a pad, and no file sentence to rely on.
The tab invites you to play Quake III online. Open this host when you want a pad or a phone. Open the deathmatch host or the QuakeWorld host when you want the eight-player room with nothing to install.
Still inside the classic cluster
The game stays in id and classic PC beside the other Quake hosts, Wolfenstein, Urban Terror, Half-Life, WebXash, and Diablo. The related links move you across that cluster by name, and by picture when a thumbnail still has room.
Diablo states a real choice: shareware with no local data file, or your own DIABDAT.MPQ. Quake III offers no equivalent choice, so it does not use Diablo's optional mark. Half-Life's start page is unknown for the same reason this one is: the open screen never settles the file.
This is a fan port, not an official re-release. No launcher is part of starting the match. The title in the tab is Play Quake III Online.
